SUPREME collection
The highest quality standard is reflected in DecoFlux’s down product range. The Supreme duvets, available in Light and Medium versions, are lightweight and designed to provide minimal heat retention, making them cooler. They are ideal for warmer climates, spring and autumn seasons, or for those who rarely feel cold or sleep in well-heated bedrooms.

SUPERIOR collection
The Superior collection duvets offer the same level of warmth as the Supreme collection but are less fluffy. These duvets are ideal for those who prefer a warmer but less voluminous duvet. Made with small goose feathers, Superior duvets are more affordable. Their weight cannot be directly compared to other collections, as the balance of down and feathers is carefully adjusted to achieve the same thermal effect. The Superior Light duvet has low heat retention, while the Superior Soft duvet provides medium heat retention.
Composition: 90% new goose down / 10% new small goose feathers.

The Superior collection duvets offer the same warmth as the Supreme collection but are less fluffy. Since small goose feathers are used in the filling, these duvets come at a more affordable price. Their weight cannot be directly compared to other collections, as the balance of down and feathers is precisely adjusted to achieve the same thermal effect. The Superior Light duvet has low heat retention, while the Superior Soft duvet provides medium heat retention.

However, in terms of warmth, this duvet provides the same level of insulation as one made with goose feathers. The fabric is thicker and features an additional finish to ensure that the feathers remain securely contained. The Comfort Light duvet has low heat retention, making it a cooler option, while the Comfort Medium duvet offers medium heat retention, providing extra warmth. Can be used all year round, for those who have average heat requirements and for bedrooms with minimal heating but normal ventilation.

The composition of down products and how to correctly understand it
Down product labels have very strict requirements, so from the composition description, we can learn a lot about the quality.
- 100% goose down means that the filling consists solely of goose down.
- 100% down means the filling consists of down, but it doesn't specify which bird's down it is. It also doesn't clarify whether the down is new or recycled. Often, in an effort to offer a better price to the consumer, manufacturers use a mixed composition or fully recycled down. Nowadays, down is thoroughly cleaned, but it loses the fluffiness of new down, and recycled down is 15% heavier.
- 100% new down means the down is new and has never been used before, but it doesn't specify which bird the down comes from.
- 100% new goose down means that only new and only goose down is used. This is the highest quality. These blankets use a very thin and dense cotton fabric, which is able to keep the fluff out by its density.
How to choose the right down products?
Goose down has the advantage of being very fluffy, with a smaller shaft and therefore lighter than duck down. The fluffier the down, the greater the air space between the individual downs and the warmer the duvet. A goose down duvet will always be lighter than a duck down duvet, so weight is not a key factor when choosing a duvet. It is important to pay attention to the manufacturer's calculated heat retention rates. In DecoFlux blankets, this is indicated by dots - 2 dots means the blanket has a lower heat retention and 3 dots means it has a higher heat retention.
If you are choosing a down duvet for the first time, you should take into account your sleeping habits, whether you like to sleep warm or cooler, whether you sleep alone or as a couple, as this determines how much warmth is retained under the duvet. Sleeping as a couple is always warmer. We often hear that one person is warmer than the other, so in this case we recommend choosing two separate blankets with different heat retention. This way, each person will feel comfortable and sleep in their own temperature range.
It is also important to mention the special sound that a down duvet makes. The fabric is very stiffly woven to prevent the down from escaping. Therefore, even without a special finish, it initially has a rustling sound. It takes about 7 nights to get used to it. However, when choosing a duvet, it is important to check that it will not be annoying.
